Legal Notice
This Privacy Policy explains how StatisTax LLC collects, uses, stores, and discloses information when you use the Model A DataTour and related services.
Last updated August 3, 2026
1. Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to StatisTax LLC websites, applications, APIs, route tracking experiences, synthetic route builders, shared route views, and related services that link to or display this Policy.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
- precise geolocation, route points, timestamps, speed or accuracy values when available, and derived route summaries when location tracking is enabled;
- approximate or derived location data such as towns, city datapoints, route segments, and distance or duration metrics generated from a route;
- address, city, or stop information you enter to build a synthetic route or use autocomplete features;
- anonymous route identifiers, session identifiers, share links, report metadata, city datapoints, and route deletion requests;
- browser, device, and usage analytics such as page views, app events, and interaction events in web experiences where analytics are enabled;
- information stored in browser storage or in-app device storage to persist routes, preferences, dashboard metrics, synthetic route settings, and queued route points pending upload;
- communications you send to us, including support or privacy requests.
3. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you, automatically through your browser or device, and from service-generated outputs. For example, the current Services use browser geolocation APIs, native mobile location services, browser or in-app device storage, anonymous route session identifiers, analytics tooling, and server-side route processing APIs. Native iOS and Android builds for this release do not include or run third-party Umami analytics.
4. How We Use Information
We may use information to:
- operate route tracking, mapping, synthetic route generation, analytics, and reporting features;
- render route visualizations and compute town-level statistics, durations, or distance summaries;
- restore your route state locally across sessions and devices where browser storage is available;
- monitor service performance, diagnose problems, protect the Services, and prevent misuse;
- improve user experience, features, and product decisions;
- comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.
5. Local Device Storage and App State
The current Services use browser local storage and, in native apps, on-device app storage to keep anonymous route identifiers, route status, cached route data, selected dashboard metrics, synthetic route preferences, and queued background location updates on your device. This data remains on your device until deleted by your browser or app, overwritten by the Services, or removed by you.
In native iOS and Android apps, background location collection is intended to run only while an active journey is in progress. If you allow background location access, such as "Always" on iOS or "Allow all the time" on Android, an active journey can continue recording while the app is minimized or the screen is locked. Pausing or ending a journey stops background collection, and using Delete Route Data clears local route state and queued route points where available. If you revoke location permission, the native app can no longer continue live route capture.
6. Analytics and Similar Technologies
We may use analytics tools, including Umami, to understand usage patterns, measure performance, and evaluate product engagement in web experiences. These tools may collect information such as page visits, referrers, browser details, and interaction metadata. The native iOS and Android apps do not include Umami analytics for this release, and third-party analytics are not used to record native route points.
7. Maps, Tiles, Fonts, and Technical Requests
When you use mapping features, your browser may request map tiles, fonts, and related assets needed to render the interface. Those requests may reveal technical information such as IP address, browser or app request details, request timing, and approximate usage context to the systems serving those assets. We and our providers may also process ordinary diagnostics or technical request data needed to operate, secure, debug, and improve the Services.
8. How We Share Information
We may share information:
- with service providers, hosting providers, infrastructure vendors, and analytics providers that help operate the Services;
- with mapping, geospatial, or data-processing providers where necessary to support route and location features;
- when you deliberately create or distribute a shareable route link;
- to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental requests;
- to protect rights, safety, security, or property of StatisTax LLC, users, or others;
- in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar transaction.
We do not sell personal information for money. We also do not claim that all Service outputs are anonymous, because location or route data can still be sensitive depending on context.
9. Retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to operate the Services, maintain security, support route retrieval, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods can vary depending on the type of data, the feature involved, and operational needs.
You can use the in-app Delete Route Data control for the current anonymous route to remove its GPS points, city datapoints, generated report, and route session from our route server. You can also use our Data Deletion page to delete a route by route ID or shared route link. If you want us to delete other route data or a shared route that we can reasonably identify, contact [email protected] and include the route identifier or shared link when available. Route data may persist in backups, logs, or other operational records for a limited period when necessary for security, reliability, legal, or accounting purposes.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect information. No method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
11. Your Choices
You can control certain data practices by declining geolocation permissions, revoking background location access, deleting the current route, refraining from using synthetic route inputs, avoiding shared links, or clearing browser or app storage. Depending on applicable law, you may also have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction relating to certain information.
In native iOS and Android apps, you can also pause or end a journey to stop active route collection, use Delete Route Data to remove the current route, or return to iOS Settings or Android Settings to change background location access to a more limited permission state.
12. Children's Privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and StatisTax LLC does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and address the issue.
13. International and Regional Users
If you access the Services from outside the jurisdiction where our systems operate, your information may be transferred to and processed in jurisdictions that may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may revise this Privacy Policy from time to time. The updated version becomes effective when posted unless a later date is stated. Continued use of the Services after an update means the revised Policy applies going forward.
15. Contact Us
Questions, requests, or complaints about this Privacy Policy may be sent to [email protected].
